Agender, Selfridges
No stranger to novelty campaigns, Selfridges has launched an 'Agender' section in their London flagship shop. The famous department store in London declared that they were 'moving away from the tradition of a societal and sartorial binary gender definition' adding that 'we will take our customers on a journey where they can choose to shop and dress without limitations or stereotypes.'
The result is a a concept space created by designer Faye Toogood which will span three floors of Selfridge's Oxford Street store, offering customers a gender neutral shopping experience complete with non-gender specific collections of clothing and accessories.
Events at Selfridges
To accompany the launch of their Agender campaign, Selfridges has invited Editor of SHOWstudio Lou Stoppard to host a discussion with designer Rad Hourani. Canadian born Hourani is a designer, photographer and artist who is famed for his unisex clothing. The talk promises to delve into the mind of Hourani and explore concepts of genderless dressing.
