Brunch with Yotam Ottolenghi, The Tabernacle
Not only will the celebrated chef Ottolenghi cook for you from his new cookbook Plenty More, he will also dine with you and discuss his culinary inspiration.
This is a chef that needs no introduction. Yotam Ottolenghi is responsible for transforming the way we eat, through his chain of impeccable delis and his superb veggie column in the Guardian. And there’s not a self-respecting kitchen in Britain that doesn’t own at least one of his cookbooks. To celebrate the launch of his latest cookbook, Plenty More (the follow up to bestseller Plenty ), Ottolenghi will prepare a two course brunch for guests in the intimate surroundings of Notting Hill's Tabernacle . The menu will showcase the mouth-watering array of fresh vegetarian recipes offered in the book. For a sense of what to expect and to get your taste buds tingling with anticipation, think along the lines of candied beetroots with lentils , or Membrillo and Stilton quiche ...
As well as giving a literal taste of his culinary prowess, Ottolenghi will also give brunch guests an insight into the creative process behind his legendary recipes, from the inspiration to the experimentation. He will be joined by Melissa Denes, editor of the Guardian Weekend Magazine for which he writes a food column. Alys Fowler, the Guardian's gardening guru, and wine connoisseur Fiona Beckett will also be on hand to share their expertise and create the perfect weekend brunch: delectable food, fine wine, horticultural tips and very stimulating company.
We recommend you book fast, as spaces are limited.
