A Puffin Book Exhibition, Waterstones Picadilly
A paradise for budding book worms, with a display of first editions, letters illustrations and drafts from beloved children's classics including Charlotte's Web and The Borrowers.

Timless children's books published by Puffin will be brought to life for a new generation this summer with an engaging display at Waterstones Picadilly. Little ones will love to see the artworks, manuscripts and authorial notes that tell the story behind timeless tales such as Watership Down and Goodnight Mister Tom. After getting excited about the stories on display, they will be itching to read the new editions of Puffin Classics (stocked by Waterstones), which now include oodles of engaging and interactive activities to enhance the reading experience. The exhibition is free and right in the centre of town, so whether you're looking to liven up the kids' reading list or inspire an already keen young reader, it is well worth popping in.

Complimenting the exhibition, Michelle Magorian, author of children's novel Goodnight Mister Tom will come to Waterstones PIcadilly Store on 23rd July at 6:30pm. Michelle will discuss this charming storynovel, which depicts evacuees adjusting during the war, and talk about both the exhibition and the inspiration behind her writing before signing copies of her books. The talk is £5 and can be booked in store, by calling 02078512400 or emailing piccadilly@waterstones.com.
