Marc Dugain & Peter Guttridge, Institut Francais
Internationally acclaimed French author Marc Dugain discusses his thrilling new novel with Crime Fiction critic Peter Guttridge.

Having won 20 literary awards for his first world work novel The Officers' Ward , Dugain is renowned for his ability to revive a historical period and reveal elements of the extraordinary. His latest novel to be published in English is set against a backdrop of the social and political unrest of 1960s and 70s America.  Noir is the Colour is every bit as dark as the title suggests; its protagonist is none other than a seven foot serial killer with an IQ higher than Albert Einstein. The absorbing first person narrative invites the reader into the mind of this compelling character.

Resident crime fiction critic for The Observer and an accomplished author Peter Guttridge will discuss the intriguing Noir is the Colour with Dugain. And both writers will offer an insight into the darkly elusive art of writing a compelling crime novel.
