British Library: Hisham Matar, Olivia Laing and Lara Feigel
Authors Hisham Matar, Olivia Laing and Lara Feigel set to discuss the art of non-fiction at the British Library
Think non-fiction is the domain of textbooks and dusty historians? Think again. True stories and real life can be just as artful and engaging as even the most imaginative fiction.
The British Library, in collaboration with The Royal Society of Literature and King’s College London’s Centre for Modern Literature and Culture, will be holding a panel discussion to address the art of non-fiction.
Writers Hisham Matar (In the Country of Men) , Olivia Laing (Lonely City), and Lara Feigel (The Love Charms of Bombs) will talk over their respective approaches in writing their stories. The discussion will be chaired by novelist and Chair of the Royal Society of Literature, Lisa Appignanesi and will be followed by a book signing.
