Hungry Babies with Fearne Cotton, interviewed by Emma Gannon, Waterstones Piccadilly
As well as being one of the UK’s best-known TV and radio presenters, Fearne Cotton is now a bestselling author of lifestyle and children’s books. Her latest children's book Hungry Babies tells of the various roads mealtimes can take. At this event, at Waterstones’ Piccadilly branch, Fearne will be interviewed by author, broadcaster and podcaster Emma Gannon. Babies are welcome to attend the event with their parents.

Black British Animators Q&A, BFI
It wasn’t until the end of the 20th century that black British artists like Osbert Parker and Keith Piper really had the chance to explore the potentials of animation. More recently, Kibwe Tavares and Phoebe Boswell have continued to use the medium to engage with issues of social diversity. This event is a chance to explore the work and inspirations of these talented animators, and join a Q&A with Osbert Parker and other filmmakers, chaired by curator of the BFI National Archive Jez Stewart.

Yotam Ottolenghi: SIMPLE, Islington Assembly Hall
To celebrate the launch of his latest book SIMPLE, Yotam Ottolenghi will be speaking about his food philosophy, influences and the inspirations behind his latest dishes in a talk at Islington Town Hall. Ottolenghi will be joined by co-author Tara Wigley, and they will be interviewed by author and award-winning food journalist Felicity Cloake.

The BBC’s Today Programme presenter Mishal Husain is sharing her experience and advice in forging a path to success with renowned interviewer and author Elizabeth Day at Waterstones Piccadilly. In her debut book The Skills, released August 2018, Husain draws from her own experience as well as discussions with inspirational figures such as Martha Lane Fox and Malala Yousafzai, to inspire women to see their ambitions as an achievable reality. Both Mishal and Elizabeth argue for women's ability to succeed unperturbed by failures or discrimination in the workplace.

Sebastian Faulks on Paris Echo, Daunt Books
One of Britain’s best-loved novelists, Sebastian Faulks will be revealing all about his new novel Paris Echo at Daunt Books. The story plays with Paris past and present, following Hannah, an American academic who returns to Paris to research women’s lives during the Occupation while grappling with her own painful memories of Paris a decade before. Hannah crosses paths with Moroccan runaway Tariq, who is seeking echoes of the mother he barely knew.

Orla Kiely: A Life in Pattern, V&A
Known for her distinctive design ethos and iconic stem print, Orla Kiely is a household name; her work is seen across print, fashion, and homeware design. Join Kiely at the V&A for a discussion on the brand’s influential legacy, story, and impact on British design. The talk is in celebration of the publication of her book A Life in Pattern, and retrospective at the Fashion and Textile Museum.

Inside North Korea, V&A
Join journalist and photographer Oliver Wainwright as he charts the evolution of the ‘socialist fairyland’ that is North Korea. Through exploring the sci-fi monuments, pastel-hued apartments and interiors that drip with marble and mosaic – all of which make up the architecture and interiors seen in sneak peeks inside North Korea – Wainwright will take attendees on an eye-opening tour behind closed doors in the most secretive country in the world.
