My Husband and I: book event at Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel
The Royal Family is on everyone's lips at the moment. From the drip-drip announcements about who will be playing who in The Crown to Meghan Markle's up-coming marriage and The Duchess of Cambridge's third pregnancy, there's a whole new generation learning to love the Royals.

But – behind all the new kids stealing the Royal limelight – stand the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, providing stability and the very occasional scandal as they gently guide the ship, as they have done since 1953.

This May, Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel is hosting a literati evening with acclaimed Royal biographer Ingrid Seward, who arrives to talk about her latest book My Husband and I, which looks inside the 70 years of Royal Marriage. Seward opens up the Royal Marriage with insights on how public families often operate when behind closed doors, and explores how this most famous family navigated the sometimes choppy waters of marriage.

Guests and hotel residents are invited to talk to Seward as she leads a discussion on her book. This formula for 'taking the traditional book club idea one step further' is a staple of the Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel. Join Seward in the elegant Albemarle Suite for a reception hosted by Champagne Lanson (the supplier to the Royal Household since 1901 whose original Royal Warrant was granted by Queen Victoria) for an evening of canapes selected by Executive Chef Nigel Boschetti, a sense of 'enduring luxury' and a discussion about this historical book by the author herself.
