Established in 2000 in the heart of super trendy East London's market district, Labour and Wait feels like a stylish cross between a Second World War bunker and a gadget shop. It stocks chic products from clothes and household items and fuss-free, functional kitchen wear like the bang-on-trend enamel pans and Japanese kettles that we're in love with. As well as timeless mens' clothes, including fishermen's smocks and striped navy shirts for children. This is a one-stop-shop for everything you could ever need to buy for the men in your life.

Trunk
Trunk Clouthing Address: 8 Chiltern St, London W1U 7PU
Specialising designer brands from classic Neapolitan tailoring house Eidos to suits from London brand Harris Wharf, Trunk also stocks a number of handsome accessories and home-wear products, including scented candles and Muhle shaving bowls from sandalwood. Their burgundy and swede loafers are expensive (around £500) but you can also buy polishing kits to ensure that these are shoes that will last and last.

Longtime Culture Whisper favourite, this immersive and multi sensory boutique specialising in lighting fixtures is the complete creative vision of its drop-dead cool and stylish designer. As well as the iconic pendulum lighting fixtures, machine like jewellery and pheromone-esque perfumes, the store has an other-world-y restaurant that's worth visiting even if you don't have a loose thousand pounds to spend on homeware.

We're deeply in love with A.P.C. at Culture Whisper. This French boutique selling cult labels is owned and run by the same people behind Aimé -- but with a masculine bent. Offering cult Parisian style labels, A.P.C. is the one boutique we'd visit in London if we had half an hour to buy the perfect, stylish gift.

Few places are as exclusive as this. Access to LN-CC is by appointment only, and you can only get in down a nondescript alley in Dalston. The Late Night Chameleon Café (LN-CC) is often described as being like entering another world - with a spaceship like interior designed by Gary Card and designer pieces from Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester, Alexander McQueen and Haider Ackermann set out like an art gallery and alongside an Aladdin's cave worth of rare vinyls and books.
