If you're into perfectly curated fashion: The Shop at Bluebird, Covent Garden

The Shop at Bluebird, the famous Kings Road stalwart will be opening a new shop on the desirable Floral Street in 2018. A 15,000 square foot store has been announced for Covent Garden in early 2018 and we can't wait to see our Chelsea favourite in its new home.

Designer's favourite, Tom Dixon will be moving its flagship to the Coal Office, in King's Cross's new Coal Drops Yard, where there will be a showroom and offices. Perfectly located for designjunction, which is held in September at King's Cross, the new premises are bound to be crazy chic.

If you love independent book shops: Moon Lane Books

Great news for London's independent book store scene. The owner of one of London's loveliest book shops for children, Tales on Moon Lane will be opening another South London book shop this year. Moon Lane Books will be near Forest Hill and Catford and will sell children's fiction, plus a little adult fiction to give us adults an excuse to browse, too.

There's already a Nike, Jigsaw and & Other Stories near the site, and with plans to create even more cafes and restaurants, too, this could be a new hipster heaven for the north of London.

If you're heading West: Westfield expansion

It's already mind-bogglingly big, so what's a few extra hundred thousand feet? The extension to Westfield shopping centre is actually opening earlier than anticipated (refreshingly) and will measure 740,000 square feet and contain a new John Lewis. Hurrah. And a Primark (guilty hurrah).

If you're tired of traffic: Oxford Street pedestrianisation

It's not a new shop, exactly, rather, it's a new way of shopping. Take the stress out of Oxford Street in 2018, as plans to fully pedestrianise the street west of Oxford Circus are starting to take shape and could be in place by Christmas 2018. That's the stretch that includes House of Fraser and John Lewis completely free from bus and taxi madness.
