Primetime, Royal Court

Come see the next big things in theatre with a collection of short plays written by primary school children...

Primetime, Royal Court

Come see future playwrights and inspire your children to get creative with the Royal Court's series of short plays penned... by 8 to 11-year-olds. The variety across the pieces - with themes ranging from family drama to surreal sweetshop antics, and characters including Gary the charming hippo and a talking sausage roll - make for a refreshingly different dramatic experience.

For adults this is a chance to absorb the unrestricted imagination of the infantile mind, and for children this show is a great demonstration of what they can achieve with a little creativity.  The Royal Court team, led by resident trainee director Ned Bennett, make this a truly professional production with a cast of established actors. And, you never know, these pre-teen playwrights could be the next big thing…
