Fantastical Story Factory, Udderbelly Festival

Let your kids take creative control at the Fantastical Story Factory. As part of the Southbank’s annual Udderbelly Festival, the side-achingly funny improvisation group Showstoppers have created a show especially for children. Each musical adventure is shaped by children’s imagination as they decide a setting, characters and plot. Then, the internationally acclaimed performers will transform these whims into a fully formed musical. 

There are no limits in this fun-packed Story Factory; bring along some props, get up and join in, or just sit back and enjoy the strange journey. Of course, as the musical is spawned spontaneously from the audience’s ideas, each show is unique. As winners of CBBC’s BAFTA winning talent show The Slammer, Showstoppers have cemented their popularity with youngsters. But the surreal humour will appeal to parents too. Stephen Fry described the performers as "sublimely funny", and this is the kind of off-the-wall comedy that will have the whole family chuckling.
