We love the Polka Theatre. Nestled in yummy-mummy Wimbledon with a large playroom and kid-friendly café, it is an airy, welcoming space where families can be relaxed, even when the lights are down and the stage is set.
Following the success of the Polka's technically impressive winter performance, Beasty Baby, we expect a lot from the Polka's Easter holiday show: an unusual take on the beloved fairy tale, Snow White.
It follows the story of sisters Bella and Bijou, two calamitous cooks who look after the royal household including Snow White, the King's daughter, but are rather better at making mayhem than cakes.
From the company that brought you the hit shows Red Riding Hood and Flat Stanley, Olivier Award-winning Mike Kenny joins forces with acclaimed literary lunatics LipService (Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding) and director Matt Aston to create a fast-paced fresh take on this famous tale, featuring plenty of songs and music.
