Giant Lego Brick Animals at WWT London Wetlands Centre ★★★★★
The London Wetland Centre has been invaded by giant lego animals and is bursting with fun half-term activities, such as making lego models inspired by nature.
Is there anything better than the joy of LEGO for children? Possibly the cuteness of friendly wildlife animals? Well, young animal fans and LEGO fanatics can get their fill of both at the picturesque London Wetlands Centre.
The London Wetland Centre is a great day out for young animal lovers in need of a break from the big smoke. The LEGO sculpture trail weaves throughout the park, breaking up the green and browns landscape of the park with bright colours, which signify the whereabouts of each animal. Admission to see the giant lego animals is free with a standard admission ticket to WWT London.
London Wetland Centre visiting information
These hilarious LEGO sculptures are lovely and do animate the landscape, but families should come for the sweet real-life otters and fascinating variety of birds (some of which, especially the 'screamers', are very Jurassic Park) and a lovely day getting back to nature.
There's also an inside arcade with a wetland centre theme, where children can play with water, learn about birds and shoot balls using air guns.
Families should be aware, however, that the café is over priced and those with hungry young children will be better off going for a warming cup of tea in near-by Barnes.
Book now and recieve 10% off standard admission prices to the WWT London Wetlands Centre.

The London Wetlands Centre, Half Term
The London Wetlands Centre is also hosting LEGO sculpture building workshops everyday throughout October half term (24 Oct - 1 Nov). Children can build a mechanical lego duckling for an exciting race, construct lego boats to ferry animals across the lake, and build their own model Halloween pumpkin to take home with them after their visit. Spaces for these workshops are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment!
