London Transport Museum

In the heart of Covent Garden is the London Transport Museum, a superb museum for transport enthusiasts of all ages

London Transport Museum: best museums for kids in London
Under 17s go free at the brilliant London Transport Museum, which houses a collection of vintage trains and buses, as well as a superb array of nostalgic London Underground posters and memorabilia.
Throughout the museum, kids can ride on tube train simulators, as actors circulate dressed in historic costumes. Little bus conductors and drivers can try on uniforms in kids sizes, as well as learning to repair a broken down mini tube. Surprise, interactive 'noisy' seats are guaranteed to draw laughs from little ones.

Family Activities at the London Transport Museum

All Aboard! The newly-opened interactive play area at the London Transport Museum is full of fun activities and interactive games to entertain visitors aged 0-7. The free All Aboard zone includes rides such as the Thames Nipper, and children can also try their hand at busking and singing in front of an audience. The Baby DLR play area is designed specifically for infants to roll around in to their hearts' content.
If your tots are in need of transport-themed refreshment, head to the Upper Deck café, where their specially-designed kids menu includes delicious tube line milkshakes in a variety of flavours.
