Storytelling and Music Sessions, Royal Albert Hall

Not knowing where to take your tiny tots in London is an age-old conundrum. Few events are both suitable for little ones and make for an enjoyable, culturally adventurous day out for young parents. But storytelling at the Royal Albert Hall (almost) every Wednesday, with musical sessions for nought to four year olds, does.

Toddlers in London are invited to explore the Royal Albert Hall’s history of music, song movement and dance with two expert storytellers and entertainers - both of whom also know how to keep an adult audience on their toes. Each week covers a new theme, a genre of music that coincides with the Hall's event calendar or a historical story from the archives.

With a long career telling stories for children at the National Gallery, the Museum of London and the Royal Albert Hall, storyteller Paul Rubinstein is a trusted pair of hands, used to bringing out children's feelings and thoughts through a performance. He will be joined by lover of traditional folktales, Olivia Armstrong, who regularly performs stories for young children in Kensington Palace and Hampton Court.

Parents and children are invited to stay after the event, play on the instruments and ask any questions. Book quickly as this event always books up fast over a month in advance
