Easter holidays, Discover Children's Story Centre
Not sure what's on in London Easter 2015 or what to do with the kids? Let them jump into story books at Discover Children's Story Centre.
This Easter, our favourite literary hub for little ones is abuzz with activities to keep children under six busy and inspired. There's a 'Story Trail', garden to explore in the spring sunshine and an interactive exhibition based on Oliver Jeffers' picture books.
'Once There Was... The Wonderful World of Oliver Jeffers’ creates a real play space based on the fictional worlds. Children will be immersed in their favourite scenes from his books: How to Catch a Star, Up and Down, Lost and Found and The Way Back Home surrounded by beautifully designed soft play interiors that are bound to capture their imagination.
For more literary fun, kids can join the 'Story Builder' and recreate stories from some of their other favourite authors and illustrators. Plus there's a workshop with Emily Hughes, the author and illustrator behind the Wild, and performances from CBeebies Rhyme Rocket poet Joe Coelho.
Last but not least, finishing up the Easter adventures on 11th and 12th April, eagle-eyed children are invited for a real life version of 'Where's Wally?'. The elusive explorer will be hidden along the Story Trail, but, as youngsters are encouraged to don their stripy tshirts and dress up like Wally, finding the real Wally might prove a challenge!
Recommended for children ages six and under.
