Best-selling author Anthony Horowitz captivated a generation with his tales about the teenage secret-agent, Alex Rider. His books, which follow Alex’s adventures as an MI6 spy tackling baddies across the globe, have racked up an incredible 13 million English language sales; in 2007, erstwhile education secretary Alan Johnson even called the series ‘the not-so secret weapon’ to get boys reading.
