Cinderella and the Beanstalk, Theatre 503

This delightful festive show is proof that the best things can come in the smallest packages. In the tiny Theatre 503 above Battersea's Latchmere Pub, comedy trio Sleeping Tree had us hooting with laughter in Cinderella and the Beanstalk back in 2015. The panto mash up returns for 2018 and we heartily recommend booking.

Turning tradition on its head, and then inside out, Josh, John and James are putting on a pantomime. They have all the trimmings except one crucial ingredient: a cast!

Cherry-picking the best parts of a whole cacophony of fairytales, this festive tale follows Cinderella, but not as you know the rags to riches proto-princess. Instead our heroine embarks on an action-packed adventure at the hands of a very corrupt Rumple Stiltskin in search of golden eggs which are, wait for it, at the very top of a beanstalk.

Josh (aka Fairy godmother and many more), James (aka Cinderella, and many more) and John (aka the Prince and many many more) are simply an irresistible trio - and let's not forget Mark the musician. Prepare to marvel as the three performers embody all the stalwarts of panto, and a few more surprising cameos, too.
