Deadly and Disgusting Plants, Kew Gardens
For a fun family day out in London's most magnificent of gardens, take the kids to Kew to explore the most exotic and dangerous plants in the world.
This month Kew is hosting a deadly and disgusting plants interactive trail. This exotic family adventure introduces kids to the world's deadliest, as children are given a mission to hunt out and beat the evil 'Smedly Deadly'. Explore an assortment of weird and wonderful plants from those with the highest toxicity level, Ricinus communis (castor beans), to the tree that is used to produce the notorious poison strychnine, Strychnos nux-vomica, (Strychnine tree).
With the guided tour children will get excited about horticulture in a beautiful and interactive setting (whilst keeping a safe distance from the most poisonous of plants).
Children go free, so there's no excuse not to grab the kids for a fun and adventurous day out in London's most exotic garden setting.
