Misunderstood Monsters, The Bowler Hat
Family fun for the closing week of City of London Festival: learn about nature's most harshly judged creatures in a show that merges interactive technology and madcap performance.
The City of London Festival has signified a month of exciting arts and culture events in the heart of London, and the fun’s not over yet. Make sure your family catches the highlights of the festival’s closing week by taking a trip to the unique Bowler Hat temporary theatre, right in the heart of the City.
The last in a series of exciting kids’ shows merges interactive digital technology with captivating and energetic performances. Join the Half Moon Theatre Company, acclaimed for their ability to produce off-beat yet thoroughly entertaining children’s theatre, as they take you on a journey exploring nature’s most harshly judged creations.
The production is, above all, lots of fun - but behind the mischief and mayhem writer-actors Aoife Mannix and Janie Armour have cleverly concealed an inspiring environmental message, teaching children to respect and care for even the ugliest of nature’s inhabitants. As an added bonus the production offers a series of activities called The Monster Vision Challenge, which the kids can complete at home by listening out for the free app mentioned at the end of the show.
Recommended for children age 4-9.
