Head to the Tate Britain from 2-3 November and embark on a Tate-tastic time-travelling adventure!
In celebration of the BP Walk through British Art display that opened earlier this year, providing a chronological trail of highlights from the museum's world-class collection of British art, the Tate Britain is holding a free family fun weekend with a 'time-loop' theme.
At the BP Family Festival: Time Loop, time-travellers of all ages are encouraged to explore 500 years of fantastic British art through an exciting schedule of live music, performance, sound and dance. In this interactive event, families can join in and become part of a huge collective artwork, and traverse centuries of historical heritage together.
Upon arrival, budding art explorers will be equipped with a comprehensive travellers' kit, containing a log book, tickets to secret performances, and other tools and goodies to help you navigate your way through the history of British art.
Visitors are invited to dress up as their favourite time-travelling alter-egos, or make their own terrific time pieces or gadgets to wear on their journey through history. Arrive early to receive a free pair of Tate time-loop glasses! Very fetching.
There is no need to book for this free event, just drop in.
