Joey's Circus Comes to Town follows the foibles of Joey the clown and his trusty dog Toby as they attempt to arrange the colourful circus characters. Puppet legend Mr Punch pops up to lend a hand in the mayhem.Children will delight to see a flurry of other familiar faces including Pretty Polly and the Beadle. Holding the strings is Professor Glyn Edwards, a self-confessed Punch fanatic who has been performed traditional puppetry for over 40 years.
With eminent writer, comedian, actor and television personality Micheal Palin as its Patron and a string of successful shows under its belt, the jaunty Puppet Barge is one of London's best family destinations. The website gleefully states that this production is perfect for ‘all ages from 3 to 103'. And whether you're looking to recapture your own childhood fondness for Punch a Judy shows or to introduce the kids to the wonder and comedy of marionettes, this is the perfect spot for some summery entertainment.
