Who Framed Roger Rabbit + Q&A with Richard Williams, BFI

Everyone loves Oscar-Winning Looney Tunes flick Who Framed Roger Rabbit – a film that has been in the minds of many after the recent death of the wonderful lead, Bob Hoskins.

Cartoons and humans live side by side in this pioneering 1988 caper: the manic action delights younger audience, but director Robert Zemeckis also delivers a dose of sensuality that quietly appeals to an adult sense of humour. Jessica Rabbit has topped ‘sexy’ Hollywood polls for the last twenty years.

Whether you are already a fan, or just scrabbling for something to entertain the kids at the tail end of next half term, we suggest booking tickets to a very special showing of the film on the June 1 at the BFI Southbank.

The films animator Richard Williams will be there to fend off questions from parents and children alike after the film, and at 11am there will be a special Funday Workshop set up in the foyer, complementary to all ticket holders, where children will be encouraged to join in with an animation workshop, and could even win prizes for the best character created. There will also be craft stands and colouring projects for those young, or young at heart, to enjoy.

Tickets go on sale on the May 13.
