This half term families are invited to join the world's smallest construction team at the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green.
There's a host of activities, from making tiny lantern houses to exploring the archive of the museum's extensive doll house collection. You can create your own cardboard village, contribute to planning the ultimate historic doll's house, and take part in printmaking workshops. Here are our top picks:
Little Lantern Houses Workshop
Ages 5+
Join artist Frances Barry in this workshop exploring a range of simple craft techniques including stamping, stencilling and rubbing to create miniature paper houses. Simple brick patterns, windows and chimneys are explained and used to create detail for each little lantern house, which then comes to life with its own light. Inspired by the artist Rachel Whiteread’s Place (Village) sculptural display.

Where We Live: Print Workshop
Ages 7+
Get inspired by the present and the past of where you live, and design your own colourful townscape. Work with creative practitioner Alice Bednarova and explore the unlimited possibilities of positive and negative space through block printing.
