Peter Rabbit afternoon tea, Le Meridien Piccadilly
Calling Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail: a Peter Rabbit themed afternoon tea has arrived at Le Meridien Piccadilly.
Calling all Peter Rabbit (and eating out at fun London restos with the kids) fans: your favourite Beatrix Potter character can now delight kids with a themed afternoon tea at the Terrace on Piccadilly, at Le Meridien Piccadilly.
The Peter Rabbit™ Afternoon Tea brings Beatrix Potter's tale to life with a themed kids' menu, with sandwiches, scones (with jams and clotted cream), pastries and drinks (there's even a vegetarian menu), recreating some of Peter's most memorable moments.
Turns out, Peter Rabbit lends itself perfectly to afternoon tea: see Mr McGregor’s Garden sandwich, a baguettini with cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, radishes, pea shoots and red pepper hummus. Another highlight is the Flower-Pot Hideout edible chocolate pot with chamomile mousse, blackberry, chocolate "mud" and sponge cake - one to photograph before it gets devoured.
Of course, dessert for your little rabbits wouldn't be complete without Every Bunny’s Favourite Moist carrot cake, topped with cream cheese and chocolate carrot.
Drinks include hot chocolate, Peter’s Springtime Lemonade and Flopsy’s Strawberry Surprise (fresh lime, fresh mint, fresh strawberry, hibiscus syrup and soda water), in addition to tea.
Hop to it: afternoon tea is £35 per adult and £25 per child. Little blue jackets (sadly) not included.
If all of this Beatrix Potter chat has you thinking how much your kids would enjoy an afternoon tea with a side of literature, there's one in London for you to book into: The Langham's afternoon tea with Daunt Books.
