Openfest, family friendly day at the Barbican

A family-friendly day taking over the Barbican, with activities for little ones from dance workshops to creative afternoons

OpenFest, Barbican
October returns with its long nights and chilly days. The outdoors is no longer the warm and welcoming space for kids to run around in.

Fortunately, a wave of family-friendly activities are sweeping through The Barbican this weekend, to keep families entertained, active and out of the autumn chill.

Little ones get inventing, building and playing in playgrounds of their own design in the in Pop-Up Parks workshops, or moving to the beat in a dance workshop on the Clubstage run by the Michael Clark Company.

There are also performances to enjoy, a lakeside interactive installation to be explored, tours showing families the hidden spaces in the Barbican and a free edition of Framed Film Club for the kids.

Visit the Openfest event page for the full programme.
