Open Farm Sunday 2018
Don't miss out on Open Farm Sunday 2018
Back for its twelfth consecutive year, Open Farm Sunday offers children the opportunity to learn about agriculture in an urban environment. This summer, farmers across the country will throw open their barn doors to the public for a day of fun-filled activities and educational enlightenment.
Events will vary between events, tailored to suit the farm's individual identity. Regardless, families should prepare for activities including (but not limited to) tractor rides, pond dipping, and sheep shearing.
To find the farm closest to you, just enter your post code here. So far, few farms have announced their participation – watch this space for updates as they progress, or read on to find out more about what has been announced.
Spitalfields City Farm
10 June 2018, 12 – 4pm
Spitalfields City Farm invites families to their vegetable garden, so extensive it would make Peter Rabbit jump for joy. Learn more about the process behind cultivating your favourite organic snacks. Don't forget to say hi to some of their animals, like Bayleaf the Donkey. Rumour has it there might just be a 'Sheep and Wool Fayre', too!

Kentish Town City Farm
10 June, TBA
We love this educational farm that provides opportunities for Londoners to connect with animals and nature. Last year for Open Farm Sunday, there were chicken tours and pony rides aplenty. We're hoping that the cool community charity comes back with an even more exciting program of events for 2018 than ever before.
Stepney City Farm
10 June, TBA
The painfully trendy Stepney City Farm is worth the visit – even if it's not Open Farms Weekend. The three-acre farm in the heart of Tower Halmets offers kids (and kidults alike) the opportunity to meet farm animals, grow food, and make crafts. Their award-winning café features the freshest produce imaginable, straight from their Saturday Farmer's Market. We can't wait to find out what special activities they have in store for Open Farms Weekend!
