Hatch, Polka Theatre
Birdsong, bongo drums and Brazilian beats: the Polka Theatre’s latest production is a multi-sensory experience for our tiniest theatregoers
Hatch is the all new Polka Theatre production that will have your wee ones moving and grooving this summer. With a score by Brazilian percussionist and composer Adriano Adewale mingling with the sounds of birdsong, rushing water, and whistling wind, this is one effervescent event families won't want to miss.
True to its name, the show follows the journey of a bright blue egg as it prepares to hatch. Combining sights and sounds to create multiple sensory words, and inviting audience members to lend a helping hand before the egg is ready to come out of its shell, Hatch is a great experience for first-time theatregoers to discover new sounds in unexpected places and to explore the music of nature.
With its inventive premise and bouncing beats, Hatch promises to be a quirky introduction to theatre, song and rhythm for children aged two to five.
