West End Live 2019, Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square will be a riot of song, dance and elaborate costumes as the stars of the West End leave the theatres for a huge outdoor celebration on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June. West End Live is a free, unticketed event showcasing the best shows in London - expect performances from hits like Olivier-winner Come From Away, soulful songs from Waitress, and rousing classics from the five-star revival of Fiddler on the Roof. West End Live audiences can also enjoy a sneak peek of some upcoming shows, with numbers from poptastic & Juliet and Gloria Estefan musical On Your Feet!. Along with the new shows, there will be plenty of performances from West End classics including Les Mis, Lion King and Wicked.
Kids' Week: kids go free to London shows
One of the most exciting dates on any family's calendar, Tuesday, June 11 at 10am is when you can start purchasing Kids' Week tickets (they will be on sale through the summer, but the top shows go quick on the day tickets are released). Kids accompanied by a paying adult get to go to the West End's top shows, from Six to School of Rock, for free, and families can even pick up two extra kids' tickets for half price with each transaction. Kids' Week also offers ticket holders exciting opportunities, like going on a backstage tour of their favourite show or attending a choreography workshop. Don't miss.

Another way to get cheap theatre tickets for teens is by signing up to the Donmar Warehouse's mailing list, where 16-25-year-olds can score free tickets to hit shows like Sweat, Appropriate and Caryl Churchill's Far Away. The National Theatre has a similar 16-25 option, with tix for £7.50. Also, the Barbican offers discounts for 14-25-year-olds as part of its Young Barbican scheme, which gives members access to dance, theatre, music, film and art for £5, £10 or £15.
Lucky Dip at the Young Vic
For just £10, you can score Lucky Dip tickets to Young Vic shows - look out for them on the ticket selection page when booking.
