BRICKLIVE, Saatchi Gallery
BRICKLIVE, London's first interactive LEGO show, is this year's Christmas miracle for every child (and nostalgic grown-up) at the Saatchi Gallery
If there’s a heaven, it’ll look an awful lot like the Saatchi Gallery on the 28 November. Children and nostalgic adults alike unite for BRICKLIVE Christmas, the first ever festive LEGO show in London, chock-a-block with interactive activities full of the little building-bricks themselves.
Race to each of the LEGO building zones – Christmas, Creative, Minecraft, and Galactic Star Wars – to create your own masterpieces. Build a giant three-metre LEGO mosaic, design your very own tag for the 24-metre graffiti wall, or take your speedy, wheeled creations to battle in the ramp races – there's no waiting around at BRICKLIVE.
If you're in need of a little inspiration, take a look at the amazing expert-builder displays around the galleries, including a LEGO Millennium Falcon and a giant, six-foot-long super star destroyer before designing your own Star Wars inspired models. For a spot of culture, take a turn around Andy Morris' art gallery; he's built some mammoth LEGO melting ice cream cones and Warhol-inspired wall art that'll turn anyone's head.
All donations from the event will go to Fairy Bricks, a charity which provides LEGO bricks to children in hospitals and hospices in the UK.
There’s no competition; the Saatchi’s LEGO show is the highlight of the Christmas season. Bring your kids, bring your friends, bring yourself – LEGO's an affair for all ages.
