Aesop's Fables, Puppet Theatre Barge

Aesop's fantastic fables are given a marionette makeover this summer at the floating Puppet Barge Theatre

Aesop's Fables, Puppet Theatre Barge
Aesop's fables are well over 2,500 years old. Despite their age, ancient Greek maxims such as 'Slow and steady wins the race' and 'Appearances can be deceptive' are still relevant to kids living in the age of technology.

Aesop's fables will make waves at the floating Puppet Theatre Barge this summer. Based in Little Venice, close to Marble Arch, the venue doesn't keep the same location for long. This year, the aquatic theatre will present Aesop's antiquated tales as part of its tour of the Thames.

The exciting collection of stories will be told by elegant, carved marionettes, eager to engage with the audience throughout their performance. From lions to daredevil mice, the production aims to showcase the best of Aesop's maxims, culminating with the enduring Tortoise and the Hare.

There might even be a few morals to take home with you at the end.
