The Grand Expedition, Gingerline
Get ready for an immersive dining adventure in London. Travel around the world and into space with Gingerline, The Grand Expedition
Londoners with an appetite for adventure and exciting cuisine, we have good news: immersive dining trailblazer Gingerline returns with a new adventure: The Grand Expedition. This time, Gingerline makes aeronauts of its punters, who get to journey around the world and beyond the clouds as they experience five fantastical courses in an immersive setting.
In the past, a key characteristic of Gingerline experiences has been their setting in a secret location, somewhere on the London Overground (aka the ginger line). For The Grand Expedition, Gingerline has swapped ginger for pale blue, sending its diners to a mysterious location on the Victoria Line, which is revealed by text on the day of the experience.
The Gingerline team have been transporting daring guests into immersive, ‘multidimensional’ dining experiences since 2010. The brainchild of Suz Mountfort and Kerry Adamson, Gingerline has had a huge impact on London nightlife, revolutionising the landscape of the adventurous Londoner’s dining experience. The pair were brought together by a common love of art, performance, design and food, and decided to create an immersive experience mixing all of the above.
While precise details of Gingerline’s new experience cannot be disclosed – for fear of ruining the surprise – guests can expect to find themselves in a ‘floating, feeding, falling dream’ that’s part dance spectacle, part multimedia simulation and part supper club. If you’re longing for some excitement to interject your meal, swap your restaurant booking for a night of interactive courses, storytelling and stunning animations with Gingerline.
The first batch of tickets for Gingerline’s The Grand Expedition have already sold out, but more will be released on 4 February (for April/May slots) and again on 5 March (for May/June slots).
