Fresh from the runaway success of Frozen (and in particular a certain Oscar-winning, Grammy-nominated smash-hit kids anthem of the kind that Disney hasn't had since the days of Hakuna Matata) the voice of Princess Elsa, Idina Menzel, is coming to London on the UK leg of her world tour next summer.
Starting out in the original off-Broadway opening of Rent before moving with it to Broadway in 1996, and there receiving her first Tony nomination, Menzel has a career of musical success behind her (including her Tony-winning turn as Elphaba in Wicked), and she has been performing live around the world since long before the animated turn that catapulted her to super-stardom.
On stage in Wembley we can expect to hear some of her own back catalogue and some established classics (previous set-lists have included Joni Mitchell and Cole Porter), along with inevitable rendition of Let it Go. Who knows - we might even be treated to some fan favourites from her occasional guest roles in Glee, in which she performs two contemporary (and complementary) classics: I Dreamed a Dream, and Poker Face.
