Nick Cave announces 2015 Europe Tour
Nick Cave has announced an exciting new Europe Tour 2015- tickets will fly for the Royal Albert Hall gig in London on 3rd May
Nick Cave is spoiling us. Hot on the heels of his documemantary 20,000 Days on Earth, he has just announced that he will be touring Europe next year, together with Bad Seed band members Barry Adamson, Thomas Wydler, Martyn Casey and Warren Ellis. “the aim is to try to create a unique show– something special and out of the ordinary," Cave has revealed. Sounds promising. But then ordinariness has never quite been his thing.
Cave has quite the repertoire to draw upon. His music has taken many forms over the years: deranged post-punk, delicate balladry, and raucous garage rock, to name but a few. He first made his name as the frontman of The Birthday Party in the early 80s, the seminal post-punk outfit, and out of The Birthday Party grew The Bad Seeds: the project at the centre of Nick Cave’s career. It was the 90s that really saw The Bad Seeds gaining widespread attention, and from 1994 to 1997 they released a slew of seminal albums; Let Love In was the perfect marriage of anguish and melodicism, Murder Ballads a collection of devastating and bloodthirsty country songs, and The Boatman’s Call a delicate masterwork, containing ‘Into My Arms’, Nick Cave’s most enduring love-song.
Never content to rest on their laurels, The Bad Seeds continue their experimentation in the 21st Century. In 2006, members of the band formed Grinderman, a garage-rock side-project which reached peaks of noise unheard of since The Birthday Party. Just last year saw Cave’s most recent new release, Push The Sky Away, an album that saw the band weaving sparse and mysterious soundscapes.
Tickets sold out at lightening speed for this Albert Hall gig in London on 3rd May. Don't miss this rare chance to worship Rock 'n' Roll royalty.
