Pitt Cue, Spitalfields

Now in its third incarnation, London's favourite barbecue restaurant offers mouthwatering meats paired with craft beers

Pitt Cue, Spitalfields
The brainchild of Tom Adams and Jamie Berger, Pitt Cue began life as an overwhelmingly popular food truck on the South Bank. The pair went on to open up a shop in Soho, where queues for their pulled pork and smoked ribs would snake down the street. Now in a large, lofty industrial space in Devonshire Square, Pitt Cue continues to delight carnivores with black pudding, bone marrow mash and home-reared mangalitza pork sausages.

There is a stand-alone bar where drinks are taken very seriously: its 'underdog spirits' are carefully chosen to complement the food menu. Mezcal fans will definitely want to make the trip to Devonshire Square as the bar specialises in pechugas – mezcal that is distilled in meat.

For the more conventional drinker, there's a rotating selection of craft beers on offer from Alphabeta, which is Pitt Cue's in-house brewery. The notoriously popular restaurant now accepts reservations for lunch and dinner, but still accommodates walk-ins wherever possible.
