You can't miss Isabel's lemon yellow awning on Albemarle Street in Mayfair. The shiny, sumptuous and softly lit locale is the sister restaurant of Casa Cruz in Notting Hill. The menu serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, but is renowned for its brunch, which is served all day. When the sun goes down, the Dragon Room comes to life: a late-night dancing den that is a favourite among the fashion pack.

The carb-conscious menu caters to a range of cravings, too. There are nibbles and salads for those who just fancy a bite, while hungrier diners have a choice of pasta (including gluten free), grilled fish and meat. Be warned though, the desserts are difficult to sidestep: the dulce de leche fondant, in particular. The brunch menu is the star of the show, choose from eggs benedict, florentine or royale served on South American arepa pancakes (made with special cornflour and eggs) or rosti. Finally, don't forget to make a trip or two to the bathrooms, each lavishly decorated cubicle is completely unique.
