Dynamic Vines, located in a large warehouse in Bermondsey, describes itself as ‘an independent natural wines merchant that has built a strong reputation importing organic and biodynamic wines’. The company sources wines from all over Europe, often hosting wine tastings and meet-the-producer sessions in their shop on Dockley Road. The shop, open on Saturdays, caters to those craving the Mediterranean lifestyle, serving delicious pastries and fresh bread along with the carefully curated selection of wines. Their seasonal wine boxes, containing six wines, tasting sheets and food pairing suggestions, are a wonderful gift (for others or yourself!)

Dynamic Vines also has a wine cellar that serves as a great venue for all types of occasion. Tucked away under the arches, the Dynamic Vines wine cellar has a quirky yet cosy feel. The walls are lined with wine bottles, which, combined with the simple wooden tables, create a rustic country vibe in this large urban venue. Dynamic Vines has two rooms available for private hire: the smaller ‘secret wine cellar’ is suitable for more intimate gatherings of up to 30 people; the larger room for parties of up to 70.
In addition to having rooms for hire, Dynamic Vines host their own high-end pop-up events and dinners. The featured chef is normally a big name, who works with the company to create a mouth-watering menu based on the wines selected in advance by Dynamic Vines. Previous events include a night with chef Patrick Duler, who served up a duo of foie gras and a traditional Reinette apple crumble to complement a variety of wines from south-west France.
One event to watch out for is the upcoming Jura-Vietnam evening (Thurs 29 Nov, 7.30PM), featuring food blogger and author of My Vietnamese Kitchen, Uyen Luu. She will be joined by Evelyne and Pascal Clairet from Domaine de la Tournelle, who will provide the wines for the evening. The menu for the five-course dinner has not yet been announced, but judging from Luu's dishes at her own supper club, this is one not to miss.
