Wringer + Mangle, London Fields: Rosie Birkett Supperclub
Rosie Birkett kicks off the first of instalment of Wringer + Mangle's Supperclub, The Great British Flavours of East London
New London Fields restaurant Wringer + Mangle kicks off a unique supperclub series, curated by food journalist Victoria Stewart.
In eight weeks and four chefs, guests will get to experience different aspects of East London’s food scene. Each week, guests will be treated to a four-course menu showcasing East London culture and flavour – all cooked with an emphasis on British seasonal produce. On the night itself, the resident chef will address guests about their inspirations, the importance of local produce and more.
The series opens on 19 April with Rosie Birkett, who will be launching her new book ‘East London Food’ and signing copies on the evening – an opportunity to both be fed by and meet London’s hottest food writer and cook.
Other chefs taking part in the series include Uyen Luu, a leader in Vietnamese cooking, and Soli and Sanaz Zardosht, sisters known for their Persian-influenced cuisine.
Wringer + Mangle’s heated courtyard (complete with ivy plants) and the inventive drinks menu sound like the right environment to encourage guests to stay and drink the night away. The 250-cover interior features exposed piping and wooden tables that combine vintage charm with a more industrial edge.
We recommend booking now if you don't want to miss out on this latest high-profile foodie event.
