Gordon Ramsay's London restaurants are followed by keen eyes – and his devoted band of followers now have a fresh reason to visit Southwark's Union Street Café: an olive-themed pop-up is launching for the spring.

This ultra-fashionable foodie haunt was backed by David Beckham when it opened in 2013, and logged more than 10,000 booking requests that took a year to fulfill.

Now head chef Davide Degiovanni is experimenting with a bar snack and small plate menu for the underground bar, with all dishes putting the olive centre stage. Served up in a fittingly Mediterranean environment (the picture above should give you an indication of the setting) the dishes are likely to mirror the restaurant's intensely focused Mediterranean style, with the focus firmly on Italian food. The bar has collaborated with Martini to serve a range of olive-oil infused aperitivo to savour in this temporary outpost of Italy in Southwark.

The Olive Grove will open for three months, from 17 March until 17 May
