Cult pop-up Roganic makes a permanent return to London

Chef Simon Rogan, who recently left Fera at Claridge’s, will re-open Roganic, Marylebone in January 2018

Roganic is back. This is a big deal. If you’re unfamiliar with the original, Roganic was hailed as London’s answer to the world famous Noma – the Copenhagen restaurant that changed the way we think about plant-based ingredients and foraged food – when it opened as a two year pop-up back in 2011.

Chef-restaurateur Simon Rogan is the driving force behind it. He promises the ‘forward-thinking’ Roganic will bring elements of his two-Michelin-starred Lake District flagship, L’Enclume, and use ingredients from his farm. He will run the restaurant in tandem with the chef’s new 8-seater Soho development kitchen project Aulis that opened last weekend.

There are no details yet of dishes though we anticipate innovative ideas that draw upon Simon’s trademark visionary (and plant-forward) cooking.

Head chef will be Oliver Marlow who ran the original Roganic and is now happily back in the fold.

Rogan says: ‘It feels so right to be back in Marylebone. We enjoyed being there the first time and I’m sure will be just as much fun second time around.’

As fans of L’Enclume, it's great news to have his culinary vision back on our London radar.
