Farmopolis Cafe, Greenwich
In a floating garden on a jetty, the chefs behind Hyde Park's Magazine Restaurant will be serving up local, seasonal dishes among leftover flowers and trees from Chelsea Flower show
Have you ever wondered what happens to the thousands of flowers, trees and plants that are left over after the Chelsea Flower Show?
This year, thousands of them were taken to the Greenwich Peninsula's Jetty, and set up as London's first floating garden. At the centre of that garden is the Farmopolis restaurant where Emmanuel Eger and Felix Weber of Magazine Restaurant, Zaha Hadid's wondrous creation in Hyde Park, will be serving a range of seasonal, locally sourced dishes.
As well as food, there are a huge range of events taking place on the jetty, focused on food, farming and culture, with everything from yoga to tomato preservation.
