The Game of Etiquette, mysterious venue

If you think you know the difference between a napkin and a serviette, or why it’s ‘how do you do’ and not ‘pleased to meet you’, then it’s time to prove it.

On March 20th the Radical Dining Society is partnering with Bluffer’s Guides to host a quiz to determine how posh you really are, washed down by some seriously chic cocktails and canapés. The venue? A top-secret spot (of course) which, we're told, lies at the beating heart of London's historical literary scene.

We caught up with Radical Dining Society impresariess Julia Macmillan for the inside scoop. The evening, she told us, sees guests ushered in to an exclusive set of private rooms just off Piccadilly which in the 1800s were home to some of the most famous writers and historians of the period. The venue rarely opens its doors, so this is a real coup - and a once-in-a-lifetime exploring opportunity for aficionados of Victorian culture.

In celebration of the new Bluffer’s Guide to Etiquette, guests will be teamed up at random to answer 20 questions on English and international etiquette, and, as if the chance to prove your blue-blooded credentials weren't enough, the triumphant team will take home the RDS's coveted Posh Award.

But all is not lost if you don't know your fishknife from your steakfork. There'll be champagne a-flowing, in which losers will be merrily invited to drown their sorrows.

Tickets are £36 and haven't yet been released. Click below to pin this event, and be the first to find out more.
