The Ivy Café Marylebone
The new Ivy cafe opening in Marylebone features its traditional combination of simple fare, exquisitely done
This North-West London café marks the third spin-off of the cult restaurant – two other Ivy cafés are already flourishing in Chelsea and Covent Garden.
The Ivy's latest offshoot in Marylebone is just metres away from celebrity hotspot The Chiltern Firehouse and is an all-day affair for those seeking simple food, exquisitely done. Breakfast and brunch offer familiar favourites with elegant twists: toasted crumpets with marmite and parsley butter, poached eggs with spicy sesame dressing and a vegetarian-friendly HLT (who needs bacon when you've got halloumi?).
For lunch or dinner there’s lobster risotto, roasted butternut squash with crumbled feta and a sumptuous-sounding melting chocolate bombe with milk foam and hot salted caramel sauce.
Post-dinner you are invited to soak yourself in a selection of cocktails unique to the café – rumoured to include a delectable sounding Espresso Martini served with hot cross bun, amaretto and crème brûlée infusions on the side. The café seats up to 94, and the good news is that it will be keeping 40 percent of its tables free for walk-in diners.
The celebrity hotspot doesn't seem to show any signs of slowing down. Advanced booking for The Ivy's latest spinoff is available here.
