Tokyo Nights: Japanese Shoreditch Pop Up Food Market
Night and Summer Tales' night food market London returns with a Japanese themed pop up – Tokyo Nights
Shoreditch welcomes a new night food market: London favourite pop up food market Night Tales has a new offshoot, Old Street pop up Tokyo Nights channels the pulsing city vibes of the orient. Japan's back streets play host to a number of popular hawkers on the capital's street food scene.
Under bright streetlights, glowing lanterns and pumping house music, the two storey warehouse takeover appeals to an edgy brand of East London's clientele for the next eight weeks.
Four bars serving up beer, wine and cocktails are on site, along with a cluster of vendors from Patty and Bun to Bubbledogs.
There are also eight private Ryokan huts serving cocktails and sake. From a 'pleasure hotel' to cherry blossom trees, they've gone all out to create a sense of Japanese history.
Not ideal for a quiet drink or relaxing with friends, its outdoor spaces fill up with hipsters pretty quickly, but if it's not raining and the weather's good, head to Tokyo Nights on Old Street for a burger and a boogie.
