The Beach Hut, York and Albany
Gordon Ramsay's latest pop-up invites London sun-seekers on holiday... to a hut in Camden.
Gordon Ramsay’s Camden restaurant York & Albany has declared 22 May their official start of the summer, with the launch of a seaside culinary experience right in the heart of the city. The Beach Hut will take its inspiration from the classic British beach holiday, complete with sand, stripy deckchairs and the all-important bucket and spade. However, don’t let the kid’s toys fool you, offerings like seaweed Martinis, Bacardi slushies and Pimm’s-spiked ice lollies ensure that this will be a decidedly grown-up event.
They’ll be taking exclusive bookings for up to 12 people, and for £30 per person you can enjoy their menu of summery treats like mini fish ‘n’ chips, gourmet sausage rolls, and a truly dangerous sounding strawberry cheese cake ice cream, fresh from a D.I.Y. ice cream machine. All this comes with two cocktails each, and at the end of it all you even get to take home that obligatory stick of rock. We think it looks perfect for a sunny bank holiday weekend.
