Queenswood, Battersea
New restaurant in Battersea from Damson & Co. serves up an ambitious and wide-ranging menu of globally influenced cuisine, and a heavy vegetarian influence.
Battersea Square has a new neighbourhood bar and restaurant, opening today, from the team behind Soho's Damson & Co and Manchester's Mughli restaurants. Promising a globally-influenced menu served up in an eclectic contemporary interior, Queenswood, the brainchild of Sax Arshad and Antonio Cardoso, is looking to push boundaries and bring something new to the table in a crowded corner of London's culinary scene.
Queenswood will serve up an ambitious and wide-ranging menu, with influences from the Indian sub-continent evident in their Goan lamb chops with curried rice and chai pannacotta with roasted pistachio, and from further East in their mirin & wasabi coated cod. Caribbean flavours are also represented, with Head Chef Aude Placktor serving up Guadeloupe-style steamed clams with coconut, chilli and okra.
There will be a heavy vegetarian influence too, with the Queenswood team confident they can tempt a few carnivores with adventurous dishes like green rice with seaweed matcha and smoked tofu, or corn and coconut cakes.
With space for seventy and a breakfast and brunch lineup on offer too, Queenswood is positioning itself as an all-day hangout spot, offering terrace dining and cocktails too throughout the day. Opening today (March 23rd), they're inviting people to enjoy 50% off all food until the end of March – find them here.
