Tapas Revolution Shoreditch
New trendy restaurant in London combines the best tapas bars of Madrid with an East London scene.
New restaurants in London
The ‘crusader for Spanish food and culture’ (according to his fans) has opened a new restaurant in Shoreditch. Enter Omar Allibhoy, Spain’s answer to Jamie Oliver: trained by Ferran Adria (head of the world famous elBulli), shortlisted for the 2010 OFM young chef of the year awards and occasionally spotted on Ramsay’s Best Restaurant on Channel 4. This young man from Madrid is quickly becoming a London celebrity.
Trendy London restaurants
Allibhoy is behind the latest Tapas Revolution offshoot. The new London restaurant fuses the best tapas bars from the Spaniard’s home town of Madrid with a laid back East London vibe. Londoners can stop in anytime for a caña (1/3 of a pint of beer), tapas at the bar after work, brunch on the weekend or a sit down meal in the evening.
Tapas Revolution menu
Tapas Revolution's short menu includes classic tapas dishes such as the delectable croquettes of deep fried béchamel with pieces of Spanish ham, in addition to some more adventurous culinary offerings: combinations of Iberian pork cheeks braised with chestnuts and chocolate sauce, for example. Those interested in the drinks on offer will be pleased to hear that there's plenty of Sangria to while away the evenings, served strong and in a wine glass big enough to get lost in.
