The Vinorium Pop-Up Wine Bar

Wine merchant The Vinorium will be setting up a luxury pop-up wine bar on London’s South Bank until January. The bar, built from two large shipping containers, will be spread over two storeys, and includes an upstairs heated terrace, so even the most wintery evening will not stop you from enjoying its remarkable riverside location.
With over two thousand different wines available to try or buy, there will also be new wines introduced every two weeks. Along with changes to the drinks menu, each fortnight will see the arrival of a new special theme, beginning, on October 15th, with sparkling wine, and, following that, Bordeaux. We suggest booking one of their exclusive masterclasses, which will include tasting. What will make this wine bar a little different is its clever use of technology. Every bottle served will have a unique code, which allows smartphones to access tasting notes and further information about the wine. Alongside the better-known Enomatic machines, we are excited to try out their “Flute” preservation system which means that, for the first time, different sparkling wines are available to try by the glass.
Every fortnight, there will be a new theme, commencing on October 15th with sparkling wine, followed by Bordeaux the fortnight after. The theme will be complemented by exclusive masterclasses, which will focus in on more precise topics, and are hosted by wine expert and Vinorium founder, Stuart McCloskey.
