Restaurant Australia
Don't miss Restaurant Australia: superior among London pop up restaurants 2014.
For six nights only, Australia House flings open its doors to showcase one of the world’s best kept secrets: the quality of the Australian food scene. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with glasses of sparkling Australian wine and beers, followed by a three-course meal that is designed by some of Australia’s top talent.
Each night the chef will vary, as will the specific region that inspires their menu. For instance, on Wednesday Claridge’s ex-head chef, Luke Rayment, will deliver the finest of Queensland’s dishes, while on Saturday executive chef at Lardo and Coppa, Rachel O’Sullivan, will serve up the best of the Northern Territory. Each plate will be complimented by an Australian wine, selected by Master of Wine (yes, that is a real qualification) Justin Knock.
Throughout the evening, diners will be able to quiz the chef further on all things Australian via a Q&A session. Still unconvinced? One lucky guest each night will win a business class holiday to Australia for two, along with invitations to a gala dinner in Tasmania, held for eighty of the world’s leading food industry professionals.
