Frank’s Cafe

London’s premier bar-on-top-of-a-car-park, Frank’s Cafe , returns to the tenth floor of Peckham multi-story car park with a staggering panoramic view of the capital’s skyline

The penny plain bar, designed by Paloma Gormley and Lettice Drake , comprising of little more than wooden benches and a red awning, specialises in Campari-based cocktails. The kitchen, led by kitchen veteran and Peckham local, Amir Pem, offers up a range of dishes, stretching from Peckham Pastrami, grilled rye bruschetta & house slaw to BBQ Bulgogi pork belly and kimchee. Arrive early to bag a table and to beat the lengthy queues.

The flagship architectural commission of Bold Tendencies , a non-profit commissioning art project of site-specific visual and performing art works, Frank’s Café has lined up a series of orchestral events, such as Sibelius’ Symphony No. 5 , and Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1 with internationally-renowned cellist Matthew Barley. The first piece of theatre in the car-park will also be performed this summer; an immersive theatrical production of Titus Andronicus, which involves a community chorus, singers, beat-boxers, and parkour artists.
